Alice Cooper is Mr. Nice Guy

On this day in 1991 helped two fans, Patrick and Dee Ann Kelly whose home was about to repossessed. Apparently Patrick had painted the rocker's face on the home to help aid in selling the property. Alice signed autographs to help raise money for the couple.

Who Shot JR?

Apparently in 1980, it was a big deal to find out who shot JR on Dallas. I wasn't born yet, so I wasn't aware of the issue, but I guess it was Kristin Shepard, his sister-in-law and former mistress.

Just in case anyone was still wondering.

Bo Didn't Know

As The Doors would later learn, if you make Ed Sullivan mad, you will be banned from his show.
Bo Diddley found this out himself on November 20, 1955. Diddley was the first African-American ever to appear on the show and also the first to be banned.

Apparently he was supposed to perform a cover of "Sixteen Tons" but chose instead, without informing anyone ahead of time, to play his number one hit "Bo Diddley." You would think it would make sense to perform your current hit, but apparently Sullivan didn't agree. Bo didn't know. Or maybe he did.

What Happened on November 18th

Well, in the music world, several things happened on November 18th, including some birthdays.
Singer Kim Wilde was born in 1960.

And two years later, Metallica's Kirk Hammett joined the world. Do you think he was born with that teeny tiny mustache?

Also, on this day in 1993, Nirvana recorded their famous MTV Unplugged session at Sony Studios in New York. I did like Nirvana at the time, but this was long before I realized that Dave Grohl was cool.

Sad Patrol

Once upon a time, I thought that the song "Sad But True" by Metallica was actually called "Sad Patrol." And even now that I know better, that's still what I hear.

I googled "Sad Patrol" today and came to realize that I am not the only person that has thought that. So there.
Also, different song, but this made me laugh.

That's all.

Do You Know What Annoys Me?

Grocery shoppers without a purpose.

Now, I'm not saying that I always walk into the store and know exactly what I need, go straight to it and get out of the store. Sometimes I  have no idea what I'm getting and have to look around some. HOWEVER, I am always aware of others around me, and make sure that I'm out of the way of other shoppers.

Some people just stroll around like they are taking a walk through the park- super slowly, and super in the way so that no one who is moving a little faster can get around them.........

Now if you are just going for a walk and actually don't need groceries, may I suggest a local nature trail or a gym?

Or at the very least, just pay attention to what is going on around you and move to the side or out of the way if need be.

Rant over. Thank you.
